TRAHAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION MEETING:

March 23, 2003 Recap

A little over 80 Trahan's, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends got together on March 29th at the WOW Hall in Maurice, La. and enjoyed the socializing and hearing about the upcoming La. Purchase Celebration in Rayne, La. in which the Trahan Family Assoc. will take an active part.  The treasurer, Loubert Trahan gave a report on the associations finances along with a report on the prices for rooms at the Old Orchard Inn, Wolfsville, Nova Scotia for the 2004 Reunions in association with Congre Mondial 2004.
The contract is spelled out in Canadian Dollars which equates to just about 2/3 in U S Dollars.  An example being the Doubles rate is $110.00 plus $16.50 tax, but after the final adjustment it will be just about $84.33 with the possibility of recapturing the tax upon returning via the refund station at the border.  The official minutes will be published as soon as the secretary finishes the transcription.
